Well that’s because getting good things from Blizz lately has become rare as well. Patch 8.3 all mac users start to freeze for 5-50 seconds. Pvp has turned into a azerite essence and corrupted infested blob where players get deleted from game by a single infinite star proc.
instances become buggy, zones get laggy, patches and content get cancelled because they need to make a mobile game and a diablo 4. So ye, it’s hard to get a thank you if you keep on failing doing the simple things good.
Pvp never has been balanced, not in classic nor will it be in Shadowlands but the fact that blizz doesn’t look further than their noses and just implements item X and values % on items and all PTR players go: NOO!! TOO MUCH!! but Blizz doesn’t listen. Ye after 3-4 weeks when the forums have been filled with tears and they start using the nerfhammer again.
So ye… guess we’ll save the thank you’s for when Blizz starts putting the players before the profit.
But does it make sense? What if a pvp player can’t follow mechanics in a raid, is the mechanic changed to a pvp encounter like so he can handle it easier? Nope.
That’s why I said, discrimination. Blizzard went too far with pleasing pve players. This time they did it in such an open and rude way, that it shows.
Rudely rejecting a part of the playerbase because the other part doesn’t have the skill to learn pvp, is a really bad PR for Blizzard. They better fix this because they made too many mistakes at once (Warcraft Refunded and others) that this time every mistake adds a lot to the downfall.
Pve players are afraid of pvp. Literally. In their eyes it’s very fast and hectic, I keep telling my pve friends that one gets used to this and the more bgs and arenas they play, the less it will affect them and they will start to see the situation on the map. But they are scared and some even feel humiliated if killed by another player.
Kinda weird to see grown-up adults to be scared of something in a game…I never managed to get a pve player into pvp.
In pve one has to have awareness too, but it’s always the same thing over and over , in the end one learns. I don’t do pve because it’s boring for me. The rewards are not worth the boredom I have to endure. Only if it’s with friends and we can have a laugh, but still wouldn’t do it all the time.
I noticed that a lot too. You’ll find most PvPers can easily transfer over to PvE seamlessly, but PvErs who start to PvP is an entirely different story.
Because when I invite people who make +20 keys , they die in arena skirmish in 30 seconds. They cant pvp.
Most people doing pve to get high ratings on ladder.
When I join bg , they cant use greater pyros on us with pvp friends… But when I join bg with mythic key friend he doesnt use single cc on fire mages greater pyros.
I’m telling mythic key players in my group please when you see mythic key essence , chaos bolt , greater pyro blast use your stun , cc , kick etc.
But no they dont. Then they tell they got 2 shot.
When they tell me its on cooldown. I’m telling bro I’m seeing your cooldowns with addon. Your interrupts not on cooldown.
And thats why I dont ever bother with “serious” PvE. Once you get a hang on it its same monotonic scripted rotations and movement. And it would all be off my time doing the actual PvP.
And there are people who need addons to do Nzoth dailies.
Well beta is coming “soon” and we will see if there is going to be anything about PvP months ahead Shadowlands launch. Most important thing is that all Classes and specs needs to feel good to play after we are stripped away from our Azerite, Essences, Corruptions and Trinkets.
If you check top pvp guilds , their players are doing high end keys all the time. Myself I’m also on pvp guild on aegwynn german. And they are doing high end keys as well in my guild. Like 15-18 keys. And my guild is a pvp guild. They dont invite people without 2400 rating achievement on any of ladders to my guild if I’m not mistaken.
And I can’t PVE. I die in M+2 like 3-4x with 440 ilvl and get kick for not knowing encounters (or people leave if it’s my key). PVE needs different kind of skill, learning and memorising encounters, watching tactics and videos and I simply refuse to do that - because again, i HATE PVE and if I do it just to get weekly chest to be viable in random BG I will never learn it same way as raider will not learn PVP - not because he is useless player but he has no interest and motivation to do it because he don’t like PVP. I was never great at PVP, but 1700-1800 rat is enough for me and I enjoyed that, playing crazy comps with friend like holy priest+war and it was still fun, until BFA. In PVP you can learn by failing, in PVE failing is not accepted, everybody expects you to know everything and it’s hard to dedicate so much time to something you hate. And also I don’t have 4 friends playing WoW to progress M+ together without caring about time, my only friend playing WoW is also PVP only and not even guild wants me to PVE without encounter knowledge, I am basicly stuck on maximum 440-445 gear forever
You need to have omnibar addon first and watch enemy players cooldowns whole bg/arena to kill them or not to die. Their cooldowns will tell you , their trinket is not available , blind and get base. Or defensive cooldowns not available , that you can use your burst to kill them in right time.
When they make chaos bolt , greater pyros , mythic key essence etc. You need to notice it and use your cc , stun , fear whatever to stop their casting. 1 missing fault can cause your 280k hp. Also if you are doing arena you have to know when to hug pillars when facing locks with addons… Otherwise you will get 1 shot.
When you follow these rules on pvp , you win 19 out of 20 daily.
While mythickeys are enchyrypted stuff. Addon tell you what move will boss do.
