Why isn’t the vindicar at the sunwell. huge plot hole.
The draenei, I think it’s War Chaplain Senn but might be one of the other lightforged ones instead, mentions they can’t bring it close to Quel’Danas/Silvermoon because of warding/suppressive magic and interference from the void storm itself. You had to click on one of the npcs for the text dialogue at some point during the MSQ. If I can find the source later I’ll cite it properly unless someone else can find it.
It wasnt the first time blizzard fogrett the vinicar, like tehy did prior in bfa.
And no, she wernt out of energy since later we traveld again to agrus to the Manàri.
Its just typical horde favprism that the allince isnt allowd to show thir toys, event it meant be a huge plthole
I don’t really like the direction where this criticism is coming from…
Personally I prefer the more themepark-ish approach that early WoW had. When doing a gnome or goblin story, things might get whacky in a steampunky way, when doing Dalaran or Silvermoon magic was suddenly everywhere, when orcs and humans clashed it was going medieval, and so on. That’s not really a very coherent world, if you try to think through the military and/or economic implications, but it allows for a lot of strong thematic identities besides one another. Gnomes and dwarves might have tanks, but that doesn’t trigger an industrial revolution in Stormwind, and Draenei might have space ships, but that doesn’t devalue steam-tech. You choose the right tool for the tone of the story, and if you’re thorough, you give some explanatory handwaving that’s plausible enough at a glance to sell the rules of that particular engagement.
And that’s exactly what they are doing here. This is meant to be an elf-centered high fantasy, high magic power story. They don’t want distracting sci-fi elements in this specific story, that’s what Draenei and some Legion stories are for. Faction war stories might have to deal with these arguments, but for the usual pve stories I think that criticism is pushing in the wrong direction. And making it about unfairness towards the Alliance, when most of the Horde is conspiciously absent in the defence of one of their capitals, is a bit rich for me.
Hats off my dude, spot on.
