So, I wanted to try a wow leveling challenge, and i thought that a witcher-like challenge would be cool so i googled for it, however to my suprise there was nothing like that: so i decided to do it myself! (Btw role-play addons and roleplaying in general is suggested during this challenge).
Rules:
You may only take alchemy and herbalism as a professions, you can use everything you create. (no secondary profs too)
You may only play as a: Arms Warrior in mail armor (gryphon school), Subtlety Rogue (cat school), Assassination Rogue (viper school) or Protection Warrior with plate armor and without a shield (wolf school). You may only use swords or daggers in all those choices. Rogue can’t use stealth or a off-hand weapon.
You cannot die.
No sending items from main character.
You CAN trade with other people and use the auction house. However, you can’t buy bags from players.
You may only ride a horse.
You need to finish the lore of every zone you go to and start questing there (do all quest chains there).
You can’t group up with other people, you are a lone wolf.
If a player crafts you an item (for your mats) you have to pay him the crafted items ilvl/2 - 5 gold. (other players are like npcs to you)
You may only be a human.
No xp boosts. (wm off)
No PVP.
No rare items unless it’s a set item of a set that you wear.
You can only have : head, chest , legs, boots, hands and a weapon (enchants allowed, payment as for items)( no cloak too)
You can equip alchemy items (eg. philosopher’s stone) but you need to create them yourself, you can’t buy mats for them.
Talents are allowed.
If a player saves you from death you must give him all your gold.
What do you guys think ? Too hard/too easy ? Share your thoughts on how to improve it !
Every time I’ve tried one of these things I died because of something so stupid I ended up growing another arm just to permanently facepalm myself. This would be one hell of a challenge but definitely doable, could be alot of fun.
I have almost tried everyone of those that gets listed - But I am not very good, so I die a lot

I’m not sure how you’d go about trying to do this as your starting equipment is all plate now (unless you’re thinking of doing this challenge in Classic). Run around in your undies until you get some lucky drops/coppers to buy something from a vendor?
Do Kul Tiran’s and Worgen count? They are technically human.
Starting gear gives so little armor that it can be considered wearable, this challenge isn’t intented to any game version , can be done both on retail and classic. Yes kul’tiran and worgen count as long as you don’t use worgen form
its ideas like these that i would not mind some “controlled” modding in wow.
imagine a server for leveling mods? you create a char and pick a “path/challenge” like ironman, harcore version, or stuff like these (where you pick a school)
since it would not have access to raids/dungs as retail and other players, stuff could be changed like lets say scarlet monestary being non-elites so you could complete the story solo. maybe even raids as u would use potions/flasks/food and basicly had to do mechanics or die.
imagine entering onyxia lair and u had to collect suff for fire resist elixir or maybe even collect 1 or 2 fire resist gear from side quests like helping a dragonslayer get revenge from a dragonkin that ripped his leg off and in return the slayer would give u his chest he used to resist dragon fire.
sky is the limit, you could even set full RP storylines in this modd server
