On the topic of Kakio. I have mixed feelings about him. On the one hand, when compared to the usual lot of youtubers and streamers that make content on RP realms, he seems more respectful of the realms intended purpose. (Even if he does fall back on the “Lol Goldshire” bit on occasion) He actually makes an effort to engage people in roleplay, which, while should be the bare minimum, is actually worlds apart from the usual treatment we receive.
He has his low moments that I hope he has learned from. The Troll assault on Silvermoon I hear was one of those. In general, the worst part about Kakio is not the guy himself, since he actually seems to have a bit of respect for RP, but his followers, who default to the usual Youtube/Twitch Chat mob mentality. That attention hungry, desperate follower who would do anything for a moment in the limelight. It doesn’t feel like you’re dealing with an individual at that point, but just one of the many feelers of some sentient writhing mass.
Yeah, the fans can be an annoying influence quite often. I do respect fans who try to actually join in without breaking character and being disruptive (hell if I saw him around, I’d probably drop something like “Is this the notorious reporter himself?”, in character obviously), but when fans just try to pine for attention it does get annoying. And his earlier RP videos weren’t as good as the recent ones, so I think he’s definitely learnt personally, even if some followers haven’t.

All over being called a Cuck? Pretty clear when he has no script he goes off on these kinds of things.

Thanks for contributing! Just trying to get a general opinion from people here, while also discussing other recent drama.
Kakio is part of the problem, but a lesser part. I’d rather have him than asmon or a certain streamer that went on at length about the genitalia of an underage member of his audience.
(Though ideally, I’d have none of them at all)

Kakio is okay. I mean, he TRIES roleplaying and doesn’t do much if not any of the annoying things most oocers do. I just dislike his 4th dimension topics of classic and youtube but other then that I think he’s alright.

I think, like a lot of OOCers that don’t really get into RP much he fails to understand a lot of concepts about RP and considers a lot of things that are not really RP as RP. Kind of like certain other streamers/youtubers that thought them doing Project 60 on an RP server and going “I’m just RPing 2004, Classic WoW!” Which, he has interrupted a couple of my RPs and although he sort of ‘tries’ he’s often doing it on stream/on characters that his fans already know him as which ends up causing disruption.

i don’t think kakio genuinely tries roleplay, though. he just does what oocers do, walks up to a group and then begins talking about whatever ooc topic that isn’t relevant to rp.
i’d go as far to say i reckon he knows rpers don’t like him doing what he does but still does it anyway cause it gives him content

Not keen on him at all. I admit I’m pretty uptight, but I really have yet to find a single Kakio moment funny, so I just find the guy a nuisance presence, rather than someone who is ‘a bit disruptive but at least it’s comical!’
He ‘RPs’ the interviews but there’s a definite veneer of ‘doing this to have a point and laugh’. I don’t know if people who are happy to be in a Kakio video are aware they are not in on the joke, so much as are intended to be the joke.

I thought he specifically said he would stop doing this kind of stuff in the other thread after saying that I was worse for the server than he was because I didnt like his youtube video.
Partially the reason I emphasised ‘TRIES’. But, depending on what video you watch, he seems to be ‘trying’ to stay IC as a ‘reporter’, and doesn’t always bring up those 4th dimensional topics that as said I don’t like. By past the xD funny stuff and to me he’s more compariable to a very new RPer rather than a OOCer who runs up to you says something completely out the blue then runs off.
That being said It’s not something people should do deliberately and I see why people don’t like it at all. But for me, it’s something I can just shrug off and not really mind.
