My apologies, I misread your initial post and I have edited accordingly.
HA i saw two with 3x the price…
ya i’ll pass
What I don’t get is why Ebay are allowing people to list items they don’t physically own on it’s site. There must be some kind of restriction against this much like there is against ticket reselling these days.
Why should they? Future deals are not illegal, so they’ll only be cutting their own profit.
There are laws against selling things that the seller doesn’t have access to and I can see lots of angry letters to consumer affairs programmes as at this range it will be outside most of the credit card/PayPals refund window.
As i went to local Game store, was told that now Game is pulling out any physical copies for PC in stores (as was told before that it is still possible to preorder directly in store, sometimes you can just put your name in list for case someone cancels their order). Don’t know how it affects the online store, as did preorder recently Cyberpunk and Doom CE for PC
That is incorrect. They were aviable for couple of hours in the morning. They didnt sell out untill most people came back from school / work and noticed the promotion . That’s why people were being able to buy multiple copies for reselling purposes. Like with each limiter edition “you snooze you loose”. My assumumption why they sold out so fast is that they underpriced the ragnaros statue by at least 100 euro . If you compare its sizes and finish to other collectibles on market . That’s why they ordered so few copies of then
I managed to get mine a couple of days after I had seen the initial post on these forums stating that everywhere had sold out, including the gear store and amazon. I looked on amazon, noted that they had indeed sold out but clicked on the ‘notify me if stock comes in’ button and low and behold two days later I had a notification and managed to get a copy.
So basically there were already complaints about how the gear store had sold out before I even knew they were available, currently at sea so I don’t get to see the launcher at all.
Because they’d never actually base anything on the numbers they have access to?!?!
It was meant as a tongue in cheek riposte at all the ‘wow is dying threads’ we see all the time rather than a serious reason for the low production run.
For the life of me I cannot see why they have done such a small run as this. I cannot be the only person who wouldn’t normally buy WoW merchandise but wanted to get my hands on this.
My bad
I should probably start using more emojis…
Not really sure that this 15 Year Anniversary Collector’s Edition Giveaway is such a good idea. Yes it’s nice that Blizzard are doing the giveaway but the chances of all 15 copies going to people who have already pre-ordered multiple copies is pretty high, which means that some, if not all, of the 15 copies Blizzard are giving away will most likely end up being resold on EBay for stupid prices.
The better option would be to produce more copies and restrict them to one purchase per customer, which is what Blizzard should have done right from the start!
Any news on the winners? I know it says they’ll be contacted by 23rd but, if I’m one of the lucky 15, it would be lovely to be contacted on my upcoming birthday as a special present
(Disclaimer: I know I won’t win because I never win anything … but it would be nice to know when the winners are likely to be known so I can stop checking my email every 5 minutes)
