World of Warcraft: Dragonflight Talent Preview

Yes, if you compare the resto druid tree from the original reveal to what we have now we see stuff have changed, and they will likely continue to change.

Won’t do much good at the moment for me.
I don’t play a druid or death knight and don’t know nearly enough to even make educated guesses on how stuff interacts with each other (nor have the desire to learn, honestly).

As soon as the hunter trees are released, I’ll be all over them. :relaxed:

This is exactly what I feared and expected and boy do they seem to deliver! Classs design will still be bad in dragonflight, that much is clear. I tried filling out the dk tree, and yes, the end result is less than we have now. Of course, another prune.

Mage, for example, is so severely pruned it´s insane, yet we won´t see anything added to the toolkits it seems. Not acceptable!

And where are the NEW abilities, or returning ones? What a joke.

Let see how this work on the Alpha & Beta PTR Server, maybe we can get extra talent points with a Dungeon or Raid Set bonus

Frost atleast got a few azerite powers added as talents.
But I agree I would have liked to see something new added aswell.

I assume blizzard thinks ~25-30 abilities is quite enough.

A Talent Tree for primary demon for Demonology Warlocks where Felguard and Wrathguard can wear Shields can do blocks, Shield Slam and Shockwave

Where are you seeing the mage trees?

They are not available but one can extrapolate from their comments and the released previews of dks and druids.

I assume Blizzard has lost its soul and partnered up with satan (greed). Diablo Immortal, yeah you will live forever in infamy.

I didn’t study the dk trees that closely, but for druids you can have double covenant abilities, double legos, talents as they are now you can get 1/3 out of 7… you can get 2/3 in the new trees.

You give up other stuff you can have simultaneously now though. The net effect is at most as much stuff as we have now, at most,

Each expac you give up stuff to get new stuff.
If i had to give up cleanse to get Final Verdict lego and any other lego… i’d do so in a heartbeat.

Also take into consideration that usually you’d lose all legos, covenants, conduits… you keep some of them in the new trees, that’s a big +

Whatever. Classes play much worse than in MoP and have fewer tools as well, why should anyone be happy with that? We are nowhere near back to where classes should be.

Having 1 type of talent tree or another won’t make any difference. It’s what the devs think you should have.

What type of utility are you missing for what classes… that’s the feedback that should be given.

So much for UNPRUNING am i right?
few useless abilities being brought back for shadowlands and no more
we done here

Nobody saw that… make a list and show it here, each class that you think is missing some piece of utility.

If you don’t say what exactly… how are the devs to know?

Yeah done that about a dozen times, maybe I´ll get to it again. I really think they should know themselves that class gameplay isn´t at its peak capacity so to speak. Three letters to remind them M O P.

I would say that in the case of DK it is much better than it is now.
In unholy tree, virtually all talents are related to DPS, so you don’t have to choose. Although for me the left side is much weaker than the right side (not counting CS which is the only reason I would put some points in there).
The talents in the last row aren’t that great, which means you’ll probably always be taking AotD.
The choice will most likely be between Festermight or Unholy Aura.
Also, the selection of talents seems quite simple, there are far too many lousy talents.

But I don’t like the general tree, there are too many skills that don’t make sense. If someone has a choice of Control Undead, Enfeeble or Grip of the Dead / Death’s Reach, it is obvious that they will choose the latter. At least the last row is actually an interesting choice. There is really no wrong choice here and depending on the content, all of them will most likely be 100% playable (nice change). Depending on the path you choose, you get 1\2 points per utility with literally minimal loss of dps.
Here the choice is quite lousy. You can choose from Anti-Magic Barrier, Asphyxiate, and Blinding Sleet (I assume you’ve chosen Death Advance before).
An example build for unholy. I chose CS mainly because it’s just too good. This is more of a ST build.
