Server names they are boring they can easy gives names from bosses in classic like Onyxia, Nerfarian, Ragnaros, Hogger 
But this are only names but pvp servers should be minimum 6 on start. Two servers is many times not enought even for private servers.

The notion that layers are going to be turned off later is not really realistic with only two EN PVP servers. I wasnāt bothered by layering, but now I am.

Switch Chromie from PvE to PvP please. Everybody wants to play on Chromie but nobody wants to play on PvE server.

Realm names are not that important to me though I have to admit that I had to Google who Golemagg, Shazzrah and Sulfuron are, I didnāt raid Molten Core a whole lot as I started raiding in BC and quit in Cataclysm. I also had to look up if Mirage Raceway existed in Vanilla, apparently, it did.
I love Pyrewood Village, one of my favourite places in Silverpine Forest, especially back then when daylight the villagers were human and, at night, they turned into worgen. Auberdine is also a nice location in the Night Elven area and Everlook has its charm in Winterspring even if I donāt really like goblin music.
I think Chromie and Flamegor are good names as well, it is badass to name a PvP server after a dragon.
Iām fine with Zandalar Tribe as the RP-PvP server name. I just hope that when the other two PvP servers get locked, people who are interested in PvP but not RP wonāt flood the RP-PvP server but wait for another PvP server to open.
Based on the stress test, we capped two servers within seconds and looking at the realm lists now, 3 out of 4 servers have a high population even in the morning, the 4th is medium. And, these are only the beta-testers, people who were either already subbed for retail or people who subbed for the stress test and will be future subscribers. I can imagine that there will be a lot of people who will only sub for the name reservation and the launch and beyond.
I half expect capping servers within seconds during the name reservation phase just like we got them locked in a blink of an eye during the stress test. I think we will learn more between 13th-27th on the real status of the servers.

2 French, 2 german servers, and for the rest of europe just spread out over 2 PvP servers!?!? There has to be alot of Scandinavians/dutch and british people and were given 2 PvP servers? This will be layered the $(/? out of and we wont make any friends in game

Itās also weird that people want similar experience like old days not only in wow but in other games also and companies canāt deliver.
The reason is that back then they had a technology like no other, the name of that technology was called āpassionā .

If they do it after launch, it wonāt matter. Nobody is leaving for a new realm. And they will do it 1 month+ after launch, waiting for what they think to be mostly tourists, to leave. By that time, Classic is a dead project, with mega servers or permanent layering.
They have to do it now, and the only way is for everyone to resub and reserve a name.
Its the only number that will make Blizzard add more realms.

Realm names are not the end of the world. This is merely in order to you and your buddies on the same realm.
With regards to number of servers, I guess thats where the layering tech comes in. They should now be able to cater for everyone with just these mentioned servers. If layering was in affect this stress test weekend I hardly noticed it. It was awesome seeing so many players in one spot again and it did not hamper questing too much. The competition for resources and quest mobs was just the right amount. Blizzard actually made it feel great again. I dont think we have anything to worry about come launch. There might be some queues day 1 but pretty sure Blizzard will be standing ready to add more layers or increase server pop if needed. We will probably see couple more servers after launch. The stress tests cause a lot of hype and loads of people logging in. That might die down rapidly after actual launch so Blizzard is rather standing by with an āincrease serverā mindset than having too many and having to merge them soon after due to low pop.
Stop stressing. Its gonna be EPIC. I got first week of launch booked off work to enjoy the madness

Yes, itās not good. Also, a lot of German and French native speakers role on English speaking realms, which will simply increase the pressure on those realms (especially the 2 EU English PvP servers). Blizzard seems to think that their layering technology will partially deal with this. The potential cost of this approach could be that the initial integrity of the community will be diminished.

The RP server will have at least 50% of the people not interested in RP, cause there were only 2-3 servers to choose between.
Might as well remove the āRPā
Seriously we NEED more EU PvP servers the amount of 2 are just ridiculous! I dont want to play with bunch of people that arent even capable of communicating in english when their first language is SPANISH!

I agree with the agrument and I am almost certain Blizz conirmed that is their plan, Yet I still think 2 english pvp server are too few and we will suffer from overpop and extreme layering that will hinder the gameplay experince.
I think couple more en pvp servers will be the perfect balance between the 2 issues.
I wonder what the reasoning for chosen number of servers, maybe Blizz panic in reaction to the fast death of h beta and now they think 70%+ of the playerbase will be gone in a month, imo they are wrong about that

Just for your information there is little difference in between a Normal and a PVP server, i would personally play on normal realms since i can flag myself in and out of PVP when convenient! therefore please stop plagiarising old posts, you think Blizzard is incapable of adding few extra realms when necessary? keep your hype contained you`ll be fine.
