This will pass. Sure, some players are spending a lot of time in housing right now. But not all players will endlessly keep designing and decorate their house.

Why WoW housing call “Sims”? I never play Sims. But I knew what it look.
I dont think WoW housing look like Sims. Since it’s only decorations. No meet NPCs like sims.

You mean the game that have not changed their subscription cost since 2004? Of course the developers need to find ways to keep subscription numbers up whilst creating new (and more) streams of revenue.

now our characters live in a wooden backhouse in a dirty overcrowded starter zone, that if you logged into it and checked it out, looks like a camping park or a zoo
indeed wow has turned from a rpg giant and into an rpg lepper gnome
and when you go to forum and people like bony defend it with froth on their mouth, you understand why

in sims when you place an item, its usually usable to set sims mood, or increase sims skills, or to make sims interact with each other etc.
there are multiuse objects like the computer
comparing wow housing and sims housing
is like comparing a porsche to a toy car
people are already bored
and the same on youtube comments
Housing was a huge thing in SWG (almost 20 years ago) and also is still a major part of EQ2. People get to be creative. I mean, WoW is our home, our amusement park. Some enjoy roller coasters while others just like to take a walk in the park

I wasnt sure at first but after having a proper play yesterday I have to say I love it!
Its just a really fun, immersive mini game added to WoW. It has no real value or use but you can create something unique and personal, spend time looking for resources or crafting/finding decor. Its a new way to play the game that takes nothing away from the multiplayer aspect.
I really hope they continue to use it as an evergreen feature as I can see it being really great for those times in between expansions when there isnt much going on.
