1800 is actually the most profitable bracket for boosters, because a lot of PVEers want transmogs without putting in any effort.
Thats true, and when they make alts many buy boost in raid to gear it. Meanwhile Iâm playing 10 characters each season in PvP I geared and play myself and didnt buy anything from anyone if not count the crafted gear ![]()
I have no clue whats the most popular style to boost now in PvP but I imagine they do it in blitz, considering how big and common these wintrading discords apparently are that even I have to learn about them since last season. 2/3 games consisted of them even last week of season.
On the topic, I dont want 1v1 modes because they seemingly dont care balance classes even currently for 3v3. So I imagine we need better balancing and class designing in general before we even entertain the idea of any 1v1.
Oh yes youâd love that as Ret donât you LMFAO
Those discords are how i learned just how hopelessly broken PVP in WoW is right now. They are openly forming RMT boosting teams and exchanging lua unlockers with cheat addons. And itâs unbelievably cheap because half the guys are playing via VPN from countries like Iran.
Thatâs not really a wow pvp problem then is it the problem is these people come from third world countries and been able to sell gold and boosts is actually a good paying job for them every game has this problem with third world countries breaking rules America has the same problem with people from Columbia and Brazil.
VPN also does not do anything as blizzard have always used hwid serial numbers to catch boosters the problem is blizzard just does not ban the players who are doing this unless they dish out r1 boosts or mythic raids.
Games like overwatch had the same problem with people paying for an aimbot for say 100 dollars for the month and in that month they could make 30-100 dollars per boost duo queuing with people itâs not a lot of money for the regular person but it goes far for them thatâs what breaks game integrity.
I dont think ret palas would be the 1v1 champs.. i see rogues and ferals pillar kiting ppl insane lol. wait a min pls, lemme kite out for my incarn again xD
They wouldnât live long enough to do it without a healer, especially not against a retri that would just destroy them on the second hammer of justice.
heh maybe this season..
But carries are done in 2s, not shuffle, because in 2s you can have complete control over how it goes.
Itâs not jist a 3rd world problem. I live in central Europe and I could just as easily make a living off of wow boosts. I know a guy from around here that does glad boosts and always takes 1 month off his work at the end of the season and racks up like 2500 euros in that 1 month.
Donât know why exactly, but i pretty much never see 2v2 on the discords. The money is in solo shuffle and blitz for cheaters at the moment. Especially blitz, since the PVEers can just self-play and duo queue with a cheating healer, who then takes on all the risk of getting banned.
I just gave up on blitz on my priest when I got to 2.7k mmr. So many games where thereâs a healer on either my or enemy team that wintrades by leaving/afking. Itâs ridiculous how theyâre not doing anything about it, they could just make blitz pop in intervals and just throw in people randomly instead of making it pop when they get enough people. If it pops in intervals, everyone would get the pop at the same time so they wouldnât know if theyâre about to enter the same game or not, if someone declines just send someone else in the queue thatâs eligible in to the game. It should also not send people in as soon as they click to join, should be a 1 minute window where nothing happens(and the thing showing how many people have accepted should just not be a thing) after decline/accept until you get sent into the BG.
Thatâs called elo boosting the price will always be high for these types what Iâm talking about is 1800-2.1 carries ofc people in first world countries can make a living from boosts if you are good enough you can make a very good wage all the time if you are decent you can do it at the end of each season with inflation.
That 2500 is a lot more to someone in a third world country than it is for me and you and you can get a job that pays over 2500 a month if you invest the same commitment you have to getting good at wow into your work life.
If he is taking time off work it means he is playing more than 40 hours a week the people who are on good money from boosting usually do it because they are on benefits and then top it up with the boost money as you donât pay tax on it.
cuz theyâre cheaper
Not around here, no; 2500/month is around top 15 % pay around here, usually you need to be very solid at IT, a specialized craftsman, or a really, really good anything else thatâs not state-funded
You should be able to make that amount of money and more if you invest the time into your job like these boosters do to getting good at wow some wow players play 8-16 hours a day 7 days a week and probably put even more time into it when they was younger its just easier to play wow for 12 hours than it is to go to a job for 12 hours even a 60 hour per week factory job would pay over 2500 a month after tax especially as they usually pay overtime wages after the first 40.
Been on a standard minimum wage job at 60 hours a week without overtime is 2500 a month after tax even itâs just easier to play wow 60 hours a week than it is to work because they usually enjoy the game.
Trust me when I say the only people who can make a living wage from boosting are pro players who are not good enough to win the awc every time itâs up can boost to r1 consistently probably have a streaming job to supplement it and will be on benefits usually disability income too thatâs why you see a lot of people quitting wow even if they have 300-400 viewers on twitch everyday.
I could see pve players been able to do it with the amount of gold they obtain and if they have a way to sell it but they will still be on benefits to top it up or live with their parents still.
The vast majority of players who boost full time and from a third world country where a 100 dollar boost goes a long way the boosters from first world country need to get multiple other sources of income to make it work streaming/tournaments.
A glad boost for example is usually around 200-400 split 3 ways takes 50 wins above 2400 and you might have to get to 2400 first it could take 8 hours of work for 100 dollar cut not to mention most boosting sites take 30-50% of the boosters cut.
In BFA Blizzard tried a sort of 1v1 mode to test if it would be popular âDuelerâs Guildâ nobody was interested.
You think these boosters tax their 25 hundos? Lul. Anyway, around here, most factory jobs would net you 2500 euros if you worked around 90 hours. Oh, the marvels of economy. Under those circumstances, itâs definitely more feasible to play wow for 12 hours a day.
and you might have to get to 2400 first it could take 8 hours of work for 100 dollar cut not to mention most boosting sites take 30-50% of the boosters cut.
And thatâs why R1 players oftentimes work on their own. Nobody takes their cut because they have the reputation speaking for their name. They usually charge around 700k gold per hour per person on glad wins, which is currently 26 euros. Thatâs solid wage per hour, if you ask me. Iâd take it even if it was half that, since a part-time job minimal wage around here is 5.35 eur.
Typically, a full glad boost from zero is gonna cost you around 16 mil gold, which is just short of 600 euros after reselling the gold for money. You do 8-10 of those, each in 1-2 day sessions spanning over hours, and you have a monthly wage.
And no, Iâm not pulling these numbers out of my ahh, Iâve heard this directly from the source.
As I said before you are in a country that has a bad economy first world countries have around 13 per hour minimum wage now itâs worth it for you to do it I guess but itâs not for the rest yes 600 euro split between 2 people and the time it takes to sell 16m gold is 300 each minus any transaction fees thatâs around 2 days for the glad boost if itâs end of season then maybe 1 week to sell all the gold unless you have someone buying that much in bulk then you would sell it cheaper also and yes I know you donât pay tax, working 60 hours a week in my country in a minimum wage brings in over 2500 a month after tax is taken off.
I know and let me tell you why, because the only way to queue up for that was to speak to a NPC located in a out of place area, you weren´t able to just queue up for like a normal skirmish. Of course this impacts how many queue up for it, especially after the expansion ended. I promise it would be a very active bracket if it had a normal queuing system.
