Starting this week I’ve begun getting out of memory game crashes and decided to investigate. Turns out WoW is eating up all the memory available and eventually crashing when it can’t get any more.
I would include a picture of my task manager but apparently this forum doesn’t allow links, which is very stupid by the way.
I suspect there’s a memory leak in WoW.
People were posting links to viruses, and Blizzard was getting blamed. So no, the restrictions around posting links are not stupid.
Nowadays you need to earn trust level 3 in order to post links directly.
People without trust level 3 can still post links, but only if they render them non-clickable by wrapping them in backticks (``).
The Macintosh client has a known memory leak, but the windows client has not had any reports of a memory leak.
You don’t say if you are using a windows or a mac.

I’m on Windows 10 Enterprice LTSC, whatever the newest update is
edit: WoW reached 11.5GB memory allocation after playing some time and has crashed again. The game has a memory leak for sure.
