I bought alot of tokens so I could buy the 6 month sub + mount, only to find out that I cant actually use my wow tokens for that.
It says I can use it on the store when using it, it never said I couldnt use it on everything on the store.
I wasted 1.6 million gold thinking I would get 6 month of subscription, but no. I have wasted 1.6 million gold that I cant use on the store.
Some of you might say “you should have checked up on that before buying the tokens”.
Why? It literally says I can use the token on the store, it never said I cant use it on this service.
So the tokens I bought a literally worthless.
Im also aware that when I check the item on the store ON THE WEBSITE, it says:

Am I at least able to use them for wow subscription, like you can equip them in game, or are Blizzard trolling me and not allowing me to use them on nothing?
The only thing i can use this on is the next 3 wow expansions over the next 6 years. I have no intention of buying Diablo or anything else.
I just wanted the wow sub and the mount. and I am NEVER gonna be able to spend the gold on world of warcraft, even though I bought it for that game IN THAT GAME.
It’s because it is a recurring payment, you need to have a method of payment available for the renewal date and gold/the token isn’t guaranteed to be there when that date comes around so you can’t use in game gold converted to tokens to purchase a recurring subscription.
You can use it to buy blocks of game time that has no recurring payment date and you can use it to purchase the mounts and mogs separately to the subscription offers.
If you want the mounts from the store you can still use your 1.6 million converted gold to buy them and you can still buy some game time too just not that particular offer.
No, I cant . I cant even select my battle net balance for game time.
Seriously, I ALREADY have recurring, is it because they fear I wouldnt fall in the trap and pay a month after the offer, maybe wasting a month if I wasnt intended to play anymore?
I dont care about buying just the mount, I wanted this 6 month plus mount.
They should make it clear right on the offer that wow tokens are not available.
I have a recurring subscription now, why cant I use the tokens WHILE having recurring card at the same time.
These cant be used as wow subscription payment AFTER adding them to your balance.
I can only buy months and stuff.

Why would you need to mess around converting gold to tokens to purchase a sub again?
The reason is clear as to why they don’t allow gold to be used for the recurring subscription model and the mounts are available for gold in the store separately.
Perhaps you just like being dramatic though so good luck with that and good luck with your future gaming endeavours wherever they may take you.
It does clearly state that some payment methods cannot be used. As others have pointed out it’s because for it to be a subscription it needs to be a recurring payment method.
At the end of the day, the offer is for people paying with IRL money, not for people paying with in-game gold. Yes, Blizzard are still making money from it (through token sales), but it’s not YOUR money they’re getting.
Ticketing a GM you’ll get the same answer. Trust me, I tried.
If you want the mount just wait until Xmas when it’s no Sale and buy it half price.
there is a workaorund with that. you now buy 6 months sub and then use your 6 tokens for sub. then next recurring payment for sub will happen in 12 months.
i know its not the answer you want but well you hsould read to avoid such problems next time.
I had thought the WoW token represents a one month’s WoW subscription. You can buy it on the AH and thus maintain your sub with game gold rather than real money.
yep i think this is a more recent change. Its the same when buying game time. you either have to buy 2 months with blizz balance or you cant get anything at all.
I found out about the same problem when buying game time for the df launch. I still had like 8 euros on my balance so i added some more money on it for a month. But yeah turned out with gametime you only could get 2 months. So either i had to pay more or ignore the money i put on my balance and pay directly with my bank account to get 1 month and then cancel the subscription
