Zereth Mortis Dune Rares and how horrible it is

I’ve been farming the Zereth Mortis “Dune” rares / elites from 24.10 until now, for 5 - 10 hours a day. I’m trying to get the one-handed mace from Damaris for transmog, it’s a 3% drop item and oh boy, let me tell you… It has been the most agonizing and cruel experience in my time playing WoW.

Sitting there, and staring at the pit in the sand.
You can’t tell when they spawn or which one will spawn and it can take many hours for one to spawn after the previous kill. There’s no consistency, and sometimes you sit there waiting for 10 hours, and nothing will spawn or the same rare spawns many times in a row.

So why not just camp LFG and find them much quicker?
It works but in reality it doesn’t. As said previously, they might spawn once in a full moon and the time it takes for them to be nuked is around 3 minutes, so you have a very small time window to join a group. You end up clicking the refresh button every 10 or so seconds for 5-10 hours and you see where I’m going with this, it just works but in reality you are going to lose your mind doing that.

And now a new problem is soon coming, Dragonflight. What happens when the other rares aren’t getting killed anymore? Will I have to go around ZM killing them myself for 10 hours a day and hoping for Damaris to spawn?

The zone is deserted now and rares don’t spawn. It’s a problem.

At this point, will most definitely be empty with people leveling and doing new content but eventually people will go back and do maybe some farming, I know I will with still quite a few protoform synthesis mounts to do.

If blizzard made sha nalak etc bosses drop mount 50% then they can nerf the ridiculous spawn requirements for this rare…come on
