Zulaman worst campaign ever

Not just bad, also boring. It needed 10.000 years for the Amani tribe to find out that they need to click on 4 Altar and boom, the Loa is back.Lol who made this. The Ogre leader would fit better in a raid then to food for the weak.It seems like there are no major enemyes or problems in Zulaman campaign, just thos Vilebranch tribe, but is just one against 3 others.Only Zul’jhan that moved and tryed to do something, in rest very boring. And it seems like history is rewrithen now, making Zul’jin quilty for trying to retake his land back all to please this boring story. These ones does’t serve Midnight well.

The zone itself is great but man yeah, the story is just stupid again rewriting complicated issues to make this lore oversimplified

You missed the point of the story: for the Loa to return, the leader had to realize that what was done during the Zul’jin rule to the Loa was a transgression; with that understanding the leader in humbleness had to show respect to the spirits by passing trials that showed understanding of what each Loa appreciates and desires.

To me the location, the main questline and secondary quests were fantastic in creating an immersive and lore rich adventure that vastly expanded the culture of the trible of trolls.

My problem with Zul’Aman is the same as wilh… basically everything since DF, just in troll aestetics this time.

The loa were just way too nice and cuddly. Oh no, the evil Zul’jin unified the tribes to… recounquer the lands they held, and where the Loa were revered before the elves came and squatted on their holy sites. And to get their goodwill back, after Zul’jin turned on them and enslaved them for being uncooperative, they demand the highest sacrifice! Trust excercises! The only moment when I felt like there was finally some real sacrifice required was when the bear priest was killed as a symbol of the burden a leader takes up, and… Yup, that was undone in the next quest. Great.

The loa system was right all along, and had nothing to do with all that Aztec-inspired cruelty, it was populists like the evil Zul’jin that everything bad can be pinned on. Wow, that’s a new and brave take, Blizzard. What a twist. Trolls are enlightened humanists like everyone else, while Loa are the vaguely and inoffensively spiritual leadership the people deserve. Just enough of a culture to give us the art assets, not enough to make the way thay act different from anyone else. Genius.

The bear is called The Loa of War,how unfit, maybe loa of sleep or ProtektioniWhy all the Loa are so passive i have no ideea but makes the game dull, boring and stupid.Lucky there was no Zulaman as land before otherwise blood elves would cleaned it up entirely. But it doesn’t matter because Jul’jin is to blame for playing the hero.

I personally couldn’t stand how all but 2 quest givers were giant ugly females with snake eyes ( I don’t remember any trolls having snake eyes ) , and the other two were some old depressed grandpas . Did we kill off all the males there or what . They one again took an ultra macho violent species and changed them to a matriarchate like they did with the centaurs .

Hell there were two , visually 5 year old girls , leading a tribe and being a spirit leader . And I see all those grown up people groveling before them , like wtf . When Anduin was this age he literally had two Regents acting in his stead ( Onixia and Bolvar) , and here everyone is like OOOO you are so wise … Yes miss 5 year old girl , thank you for enlightening us . I would have understood one ultra , once in a 10000 years genius , but two ? Please … ( and turns it out they are not even genius or anything)

And this point I am afraid that if they ever add Ogres , we will be dealing with overweight , arrogant , supper intelligent matriarchs , who we never saw before , but they have somehow been leading everything all along .

And I tought that the Loa are hiding inside those kids, but i was so wrong,5 years old kids campaign maybe it was this what they meant with this campaign,:joy:.Also allowing Liadrin to stay to the end of campaign was a huge mistake, first she did absolutly nothing, was just there to take the empty space,is Liadrin very good at following orders.Second as Amani tribe they would suspect that the representative of the Blood elves was mistrusting the “strength of the Amani” to deal with theyre own problem, instead trying to murder her, they just acted like the good, obedient troll. All it took the promise of a better World to convince them,I will have hard time forgeting Xalatath quotes in K’aresh.

Yeah, I initially liked it and could ignore Liadrin, until I reached Akil’zon who claimed they didn’t want to help Zul’jin because he wanted to use their power to destroy rather than protect. It had me like bro what? At least Jan’alai was literally dead and had some fire in her belly about it, but Akil’zon just be watching doing nothing at all. Bros, just claim Zul’jin wasn’t using a winning strategy and as loa of victory you could see he’d lose if he went ahead with things. Just anything but this passive peace slop stuff.

I love ZA as a zone, and the side quests are good, but the mq leaves a lot to be desired for the main tribe. Witherbark be eating well, the Revantusk are alright. Why are the Amani so lackluster? And why is everyone nice to me so fast? Why didn’t we send the high Prelate, who is in Silvermoon, instead of Liadrin? Liadrin did nothing yet got tons of credit, then she decided to hang around like some Christian missionary sharing opinions where they are not wanted or needed. Miss ma’am, it’s not your place to tell the chief to punish people. Was the partner Zul’jarra supposedly had in her short story no longer present to be hash’ura?

And the way they treat Zul’jan is kind of ridiculous. Boy finds something that gives them an edge against the void, he puts all his chips in that because the loa sure haven’t helped his entire life, but somehow that’s a bad thing? Then they have to slap on that he’s expansionist so you think he’s a baaaaaad guy. Zul’jarra comes across as incredibly passive until we come along. Yes, Zul’jan makes the lightbloom creatures act up with his lumber efforts, but he’s concerned with ensuring his people can fight back the cultists, not with the elves. Not everyone has blood knights at their disposal, but I guess the Amani should just stay defenseless to not rock the boat too much.

I really wish the loa had been angrier and the mq wasn’t so hasty to tie that plot up. Zul’jarra should have faced more setbacks and not be deemed hash’ey so quickly. Instead, this could have been a start towards the path. There not having been a hash’ey for so long until now is also bull, considering how easy it seems to be, so the mq being so minimal does everything there a disservice.

Anyway, I just needed to rant now the honeymoon phase is over.
