Subject: Feedback regarding character customization in Diablo III
Dear Blizzard Team,
I have been a long‑time Diablo player and Diablo III remains one of the most enjoyable ARPG experiences I have ever had. Its fast gameplay rhythm, clear combat flow and satisfying progression loop make it unique even today.
However, there is one aspect where Diablo III feels limited compared to modern standards: character customization.
In a game where players spend hundreds of hours with a single hero, the lack of visual personalization (hair, face, body type, eye color, overall appearance) reduces the sense of identity and connection with the character. Diablo III offers incredible build diversity, but visually every hero of the same class looks identical. This makes the experience feel less personal, especially for players who enjoy long‑term progression with one specific character.
If Diablo III had even a basic customization system, it would significantly increase:
• player identity and attachment
• individuality in multiplayer
• immersion and role‑playing potential
• long‑term motivation to invest in a single hero
Diablo IV introduced customization, but its gameplay rhythm and combat flow feel very different from Diablo III. Many players, including myself, still prefer the speed, clarity and satisfaction of Diablo III, and adding customization would make the game feel more complete and modern without changing its core identity.
This is not a request for major redesign, but rather a suggestion that even minimal customization options would greatly enhance the experience for many dedicated players.
Thank you for your time and for continuing to support the Diablo universe.
Kind regards,
Dimitrii75
