Hello Blizzard an the warcraft 3 team
Deleting Lan-mode seems like a bad decision from what I can tell so far. Assuming you want to bring down w3champions and bring people back to battle.net and have the full controll over your game (totaly understandable). With this you are realy going against the community here and you have been so thoughtful and listening with the last patches.
I was allways wondering, with such a strong community, why you are going against us in such strange ways? Wouldn’t it be better to seek out for a cooperation? There are people in the community who are so knowledgeable about this game that they realy could be a resource for you. Why not try to have a partnership/cooperation with the w3champions team and not silently kill the best community effort that saved your game for so many years after reforged release. It feels very unthankful.
I mean this was the winning recipe for dota 2. Steam came along and gave icefrog a platform. This could have been you blizzard, don’t cling to much to your stuff, let the community participate in the making a make yourself a dollar. Maybe give up a bit of controll and you will get a whole lot of love and probably money saved, because these guys been doing it for free as far as I know for a couple of years now.
Please overthink this decision and maybe try to go new ways, would be awesome.
