Classic+ with Modern Graphics – Please Give Us the Option
I really love the idea of WoW Classic because I want to experience the old World of Warcraft again: the slow leveling, the dangerous open world, old dungeons, old talents, the social experience and the feeling that every new item and every level actually matters.
But there is one thing I would personally love to see in Classic+: modern graphics, character models and animations.
I don’t want Retail gameplay. I want Classic gameplay with a modern visual experience.
Imagine leveling from 1–60 through the original world, doing the old quests and dungeons and experiencing the difficulty of Classic, but with modern character models, smooth running and combat animations, improved spell effects, lighting, shadows, water and higher-quality environments.
I understand that many Classic players love the original graphics and animations, and I don’t want Blizzard to take that away from them.
That’s why I think the best solution would be an optional graphics setting:
Classic Graphics / Animations
or
Modern Graphics / Animations
Every player could choose what they prefer, while everyone still plays the same Classic+ game.
For me, this would be my dream version of World of Warcraft: the soul, progression and gameplay of old WoW combined with the visual quality and smooth animations of modern WoW.
I would play a version like this for years.
Please consider something like this for Classic+.
