Concept:

Allow players who reach a high Mythic+ score (e.g., 2500 or above) to purchase previously released Keystone Master (KSM) mounts from an in-game NPC. This would give players access to old mounts without impacting the exclusivity of current seasonal rewards.

Details:

  • Eligibility: Players must reach a set Mythic+ score threshold (e.g., 2500) in the current or past seasons.

  • NPC Vendor: A special NPC could offer a selection of KSM mounts, including older seasonal mounts like the Wastewarped Deathwalker.

  • Mount Purchase: Mounts could require a token earned from completing high-level Mythic+ dungeons or a small gold cost, keeping them somewhat exclusive but obtainable.

  • Benefits:

    • Gives newer players a chance to collect old mounts.
    • Keeps seasonal KSM mounts relevant and desirable.
    • Encourages continued Mythic+ play without affecting current seasonal reward structure.

Optional Enhancements:

  • Rotating mount availability per season to maintain a sense of exclusivity.
  • Special mount variants or cosmetic effects for mounts purchased this way.

This system balances accessibility, motivation for Mythic+, and respect for seasonal exclusivity, while making old mounts collectible again.

  1. DACH-Forum, daher bitte auch deutsch schreiben.
  2. Was hat das mit Classic zu tun?
  3. Halte ich nichts davon und nein ich habe nicht alle Mounts. Manche Sachen sollten auch einfach mal exklusiv bleiben. Bin auch dafür dass alte Mythic-Mounts rausgenommen werden und nur Recolors verfügbar sind.

Ich habe zu BfA den Wurm nicht geschafft und bereu es seitdem, da nicht mehr hinten dran gewesen zu sein.

Davon die zurück zu bringen halte ich aber auch nichts. Ich bin ein Freund von gleichen Bedingungen und das ist da einfach nicht gegeben.

  • M+ ist selbst in der gleichen Erweiterung sehr im Wandel was Anspruch betrifft - das spürt man vorallem im Farmkeybereich (2-10), wo auch der 2500 Score liegt.
  • Affixe, Klassen und Möglichkeiten Mechaniken zu kontern sind mittlerweile ganz andere, wie zur Zeit von einigen Mounts. (Wer erinnert sich noch an Kiteseason oder Schurkenstacking?)
  • Wer unbedingt gern eine Version vom Model hätte, muss sich einfach nur bis zum Recolourrelease aus anderer Quelle gedulden (wie zb in Hallowfall das SL M+ Mount ohne Rüstung).
  • Irgendwann kann man sich vermutlich die Mounts in Classic nochmal erspielen - unter zumindest annährend ähnlichen Bedingungen. Und wer weiß, ggf kann man bis dahin auch Chars mit samt Mount nach Retail verschieben oder die Sammlung wird übergreifend.
