I just tried to log on to WoW Classic. For some odd reason all Realms showed up as Incompatible. This is something new to me. What’s happened?

Just tried again, worked this time. Still curious about what happened though.
Just lost my 41 HC priest to that hotfix. No server message/warning. Just sitting there lagged out. Thought it was just me but rest of party also lagging. Still getting updates such as auctions selling and guild messages and hardcore deaths, which then included my own. Alt F4 the game and reload to incompatible server list. Thats when I knew I needed to update my client. Get back in to a dead character.
What was so urgent that it needed to invalidate ny client with zero warning? The very next morning, this morning Jan 10, 2025, i get a server message saying it will shutdown in 3:30 minutes. Would have been nice last night to receive that warning.
Regardless. Its 100% Blizzards fault my HC priest is dead and no, I wont be going agane. I wasnt aware that server integrity would be an ever looming threat.
Either give me back my priest, and others who lost their characters to that poor decision of a hotfix, or Im done with anything that has Blizzard associated with it. I know my absence wont be missed by 99.99999⁹% of the WoW community as a whole; but my guild will.
