I recently experienced an extremely disappointing issue with World of Warcraft. Before I even had a chance to play, my account was unexpectedly banned. This was particularly perplexing as I had never even logged into the game prior to the ban. The lack of communication and unclear reasons given for this action have left me with little confidence in the problem being resolved fairly.
Considering this experience, I’m hesitant to invest any money into purchasing the game. The idea that an account can be banned without cause or prior activity is alarming, and it doesn’t inspire confidence in the customer support process. This has been a frustrating introduction to what I hoped would be an enjoyable gaming experience.

You don’t say what the reason of the ban is. Account bans are not immediate… they are often grouped with other players’ account actions in “waves”. What you were doing when you got the ban e-mail could be totally unrelated to the reason for the ban.
Have you appealed the account penalty ?
Do you have a lvl 10 WoW hero on another account; if so, you can post on WoW Customer Support. If not, you can create a new Battle.Net account, create a new WoW Starter Edition account, level your hero to level 10 and then post on WoW Customer Support:
The Blizzard staff there aren’t Game Masters but, if you provide a ticket number, they may be able to look at your particular situation and provide advice on the next step.
If you think all the above is too complicated and not worth the trouble… that’s fine. I just wanted to ensure you knew what some of the alternatives are.
(there are no Game Masters on this forum… we are “blessed” with the visit of one Moderator once in a blue moon, but most of us here are just players.)
