My Battlenet app has a weird problem. I realised it when I tried to download Warzone first time; it did not appear on the main page of the app so I went into Shop-Warzone and pressed Play for Free but nothing happened. Tried to download from the web page but same thing happened. Turns out that my Battlenet app is outdated, so I uninstalled the app and reinstalled and Warzone appeared and I played. But the weirdest thing happened on the next day; when I opened the app again, it actually gone “back in time” and deleted the update itself, so I can’t see nor play Warzone even if I did downloaded and played one day ago. It even popped an update screen dating 2018 with the “What’s new” thing on. Just to play the game, I need to uninstrall and reinstall the app over and over to make the Warzone reappear. Any suggestions why? It is becoming pretty frustrating.
Likely something is blocking the updates that Battle.net is making to the program, usually this is a Security Software setting, creating an exception for the Battle.net App usually fixes this.
Sometimes you can fix this by clearing the Battle.net Cache and making sure to Run it as Administrator:
- Press windows key + R
- Type %programdata%
- Click OK
- Delete the Battle.net and Blizzard Entertainment folders
- Press windows key + R
- Type %appdata%
- Click OK
- Delete the Battle.net folder
- Press windows key + R
- Type %localappdata%
- Click OK
- Delete the battle.net and Blizzard Entertainment folders
If the issue persists, please upload your system files to pastebin.com and reply with the links to the files using the preformatted text option to encapsulate the links.
Hi, after trying your suggestion to delete the cache (which I tried earlier but without running as administrator), did not succeed at all. First try it does work but when I close and open the app again, I have the BLZBNTBNA00000006 error. I closed and opened the PC but the same problem occured agian. So as you said, I uploaded my system files to https://ghostbin.co/paste/z5qhk
. Hope we can sort this out.
So having a look at the file things seem fine on your computer except I have a few ideas.

As a general note your graphics drivers need updating, so I would check on the NVIDIA website to go about updating those.

Can you check in McAffee that you add an exception for the Battle.net App, it’s possible that it is blocking and quarantining the App thinking it’s a virus. We have some advice on troubleshooting Security Apps here.

In the Battle.net App Settings you should be able to select the “Beta”, try changing to this and see if it helps resolve the issue with the install and updates going missing.
Let us know if you notice any changes/improvements with these steps.
