My Battle.NET app was working fine last night. After it updated itself today, I’m getting this error:
“Cannot launch the Blizzard App. A required DLL could not be found. Please download and reinstall the Blizzard app.”
Im on Windows 7 !!! Installing C+++ redist and .net framework new versions didnt work as well.
I have tried uninstalling and re-installing the program, but to no avail. I tried looking for solutions online (eg: “Look for any Battle.net.##### folders here. The ##### is probably going to be 13360 in this case. Just delete those folders and then restart the Battle.net application. A reinstall should not be needed.”) and they didn’t work.
Any known solutions for this problem. Also, I’m on Windows 7 !!! if anyone is curious.
I have the exact same problem. “Cannot launch the Blizzard App. A required DLL could not be found. Please download and reinstall the Blizzard app.” i’m on windows 7 too.
have tried uninstalling and re-installing the program, but to no avail.
Find other PC with working Battle Net (or some Friend).
Locate the source folder where Battle Net Launcher is starting from.
There should be folder(s) from recent updates. “Battle.net.13434” is the one which DO NOT work for me (newest).
Delete “Battle.net.13434” folder.
Copy “Battle.net.#####” folder from the other PC (where Battle Net works) into your PC (where Battle Net does not want to work).
DO NOT use “Battle.net.13434” (probably will not work anyway). Use some older (lower number) version of the folder (I used Battle.net.13401 - this one worked for me).
Launch Battle Net again. It should (?) work. It might be slow, you might need to find your installed games again (or Battle Net will find them automatically).
I have not checked yet, what will happen when I restart Battle Net client.
Maybe it will be needed to copy older folder (or delete newest 13434) again?
Blizzard response on Americas forums… Blizzard would like you to gather your Battle.Net log file and e-mail it to them. See details in the following post:
