Please someone how do you contact blizzard support to talk to a real person? The awful AI on the web tickets is refusing to understand or resolve the issue. keep closing tickets that are not resolved.
found a UK number but they are only for shop purchases, found a US number but get automated system that eventually tells me to use web tickets and hangs up…

You don’t say what the issue is – perhaps the issue you are writing about cannot be solved by Customer Support – bugs for example.
Have you tried the WoW Customer Support forum (you would need to provide some minimum info on what the issue is):
The Customer Support forum acts as an Information Desk; the staff there aren’t Game Masters – they might not be able to solve the issue.
Aside from that, tickets are the only way to contact Support for help one-on-one. There are no phone numbers or e-mails.

Correct. This forum is for technical support on Blizzard’s Legacy Games – old games such as Diablo II: Lord of Destruction.
