Dear Tech Support,
I can’t post on the WoW forums, as I am not able to choose any characters. The last time I was able to was August 2024.
I have an open WoW ticket for this issue. Ticket Number: EU100124287.
I have undertaken the following troubleshooting actions. Proof/screenshots of these actions can be found in the ticket.
- Reset Password and waited 24 hours
- Logged out and logged back in again
- Tried different browsers (Firefox and Edge specifically)
- Tried different internet networks (Home, Work, and Mobile Network)
- Tried different devices (home computer, work laptop, iPhone mobile device)
- I confirm that I am trying to log into the EU forums only. My account with all my characters are on the EU version of the game
- I have multiple level 10+ characters on Season of Discovery and 20th Anniversary realms
- I have raised a bug report in the in-game bug report tool.
Unfortunately none of the above actions have had an affect.
Any further assistance would be greatly appreciated.

If you create a free Starter Edition account and a new hero, and level it to lvl 10, can you post on the WoW Customer Support forum ?
The Blizzard folks there might be able to help you.

For context, the only reason I have posted in this location and on these forums is because the customer service reps advised I do so after we explored all possible fixes in the ticket I raised.

Yeah – I thought that it might had been the case… GMs have resorted to sending players back to the forums when they run out of troubleshooting to suggest… instead of escalating the issue up to smarter/more knowledgeable Game Masters.
There are no longer any Blizzard Tech Support available on the forums – they were fired after Microsoft took control of ActivisionBlizzard in January 2024 or shortly thereafter. Nowadays, forums are essentially “Players helping Players” (or trying to, in any case). We get a blue poster once in a blue moon (here, for example) but it’s nowhere near what it used to be when Blizzard’s Forum Support Agents were here (aka, “happier days”). Back then of course, no self respecting Tech Support GM would send players back to the forums. Progress… they say.
In any case, it had been nearly 10 days since your original post and a few hours after your 2nd post… and, with no reply from Blizzard, I thought I should suggest using the Starter Edition features of WoW… to check if that would work. If it does work, it will allow you to post on the WoW forums and ask for help; the Blizzard staff on the Customer Support forum aren’t Game Masters so they might not be able to fix the issue. But they can examine your account and try to see what’s wrong with it. If it doesn’t work… then I don’t know… perhaps something on your PC ??? but why would you be able to post here and not on the WoW forums ??

P.S. : this forum is for help on technical issues (installation/updates, crashes, disconnect) on the Legacy Games – very old games such as Diablo II (2000).
