Dont know if it has anything to do with it.
I installed latest grafficcard drivers, rebooted pc and it is nit stuck anymore and downloading now an
32GB update

Yes it solved the problem! Installed latest graphics drivers, and then relaunched the Battle.net app, the COD updated directly! Thanks!!!

A few things…

First, this forum is for feedback on the Battle.Net Desktop App — the Launcher. Blizzard Support very rarely provides support or replies here. This forum is not really suited for technical support on issues such as installing or updating the Call of Duty games created by Activision.

Second, a much better place to report CoD games installation or updating issues is the Desktop App Tech Support forum. If you visit that site, you will find a few topics similar to this one… and a workaround which several players said worked for them… here:
