I tried to log into battlenet to play D2 LOD and got this message: “The CD key that you installed with has been disabled. Please contact Blizzard Entertainment technical support for further assistance.” I have done absolutely nothing wrong whatsoever and am at a loss to understand this. Trying to contact Blizzard support is like something out of a Kafka novel. I really don’t what to do. Why didnt they give a reason for this ban? It is absolutely appalling customer service. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I can do about this?
I’m also dealing with the same problem as you are.
Ich au und hab au Support kontaktiert aber kam nichts zurück…was soll das !! Hab so viel Geld da rein investiert und jz so ein Sch*iß.
Apparently once disabled the CD key cannot be reactivated, even by Blizzard. So that’s it, I can’t play on Bnet anymore unless I purchase a new CD key from them. There seems to be a bit of a conflict of interest there: There is an incentive for Blizzard to find ‘problems’ with a customer’s account when they directly profit from the solution. Anyway I’m not buying a new CD key. Blizzard arbitrarily cancelled the CD key without any explanation and who is to say they would not do the same thing again. The problem might have been that I bought the discs several months ago from an ebay seller and the key cancellation might derive from problems with the previous user. If i knew for sure that this was the case I would buy a new key, but there is no way to know because Blizzard just simply cancels your key and gives no explanation. I can’t hand over money to a company that does business like that. It’s a shame that such a great game is owned by a company with such rotten customer service. I’ve started playing SP again. It is actually quite a challenge to beat the game without any help and with lousy gear. I am gutted though.
Hey irondell,
Try using this link to contact the support team. Make sure that you also provide your key there.
That link is not of any help. It doesn’t lead to contact with an actual human being, which is something that I need to sort out this problem. That linked page leads in a long circle back to itself.
The point really is that if a CD key is disabled then the reason for doing this should be given to the customer. I have provided an email contact. Blizzard should use it to give me important information, such as the reason I can no longer play a game. To do anything less than this falls below what any customer has a right to expect. I should not have to beg for an explanation, nor spend my valuable time chasing after one. Blizzard should quite simply not be doing this to people.
