Okay, this may sound dumb but “the self service” didn’t work for me. I keep writing my problem which is to change country. It keeps redirecting me to self service which it doesn’t allow me to change my country. And I can’t create a ticket becaus it keeps redirecting to self service when I write my problem. It’s rinse and repeat all over.
Can someone help or direct me?
Try this:
- Go to: https://eu.battle.net/support/en/help/product/services/316/638/solution
- Click the Continue button
- This will launch the identity verification process and bring you to a ticket form.
You will need to “submit a legible image of a recent utility bill or related document with your name and new address for manual review” as stated in Battle.net Account Country/Region Change .
Good luck !
this form is not showing up for me it’s been showing me this "
We’re processing your request. Please leave this page open and we’ll update you as soon as we’re done." for about one hour already
I never thought updating my Battle.net account region would turn into a bureaucratic nightmare worse than dealing with banks, insurers, or even government agencies.
I decided to return to Blizzard games to play with friends and spend money on their services. However, my request to change my account’s country to Lithuania, where I legally reside, was denied despite providing all required documents.
What I Provided to Blizzard:
Lithuanian residence address
Lithuanian national ID
Bank statement from a Lithuanian bank
Payslip from my Lithuanian employer
Insurance statement from a Lithuanian company
Passport to match name in the documents
Blizzard’s Most Ridiculous Demand: Utility Bills
Blizzard also demanded a utility bill in my name—ignoring that:
Like most tenants, I live in a rented apartment, and utility bills are in the landlord’s name.
They’re asking for not just my private data but also my landlord’s!
Even if I submit these bills, the name won’t match, making their request pointless.
Blizzard’s Response?
“We verified that you are not in the country you mentioned.” (But refuse to explain HOW.)
“We cannot process your request.” (No legal basis given.)
“If you have concerns, contact our Data Protection Officer.”
Wait… WHAT?!
Blizzard demands more private documents than any bank, insurer, or even government—yet they still refuse to recognize them!
I haven’t logged in from my old country in years, yet they rely on a secret verification process that overrides even official government-issued documentation.
Consumer Rights Matter!
I’ve already submitted formal complaints to:
VDAI (Lithuanian Data Protection Authority) for GDPR violations
EDPB (European Data Protection Board) for further investigation
Blizzard’s lack of transparency is a huge red flag for privacy, consumer rights, and fair business practices.
This isn’t just about me—it’s about every EU user who might face arbitrary decisions, excessive data collection, and denial of service without explanation.
