COD:MW 180GB Update rather then 180mb + download bug

So two errors:

Instead of having a 180mb download like my mates, I have a 180GB download,
and
when downloading it randomly keeps stopping, despite there being internet.

I played the game fine last night did not turn off my computer, then while working on it noticed this massive update, and assumed it was a legit update.

For me and my brother the update is the same size as the game. This is the second time.
And some people wonder why Steam is so popular.

Basically same thing here. I have been playing the game for 2 weeks now and after 2 days stop (because i wasn’t able to download properly the 15gb update on european servers) today i was presented with a 83gb download (I have played the game yesterday)…this is a wide problem as i can read around. Hope they fix this somehow cause i can’t redownload 80ish GB again

Exactly. Complete lack of communication and customer service.

STEAM never had this problem!

I’m having the exact same problem, Its an actual joke how bad this game is and how bad infinity ward is at making a game. They never listen to the community and they bring out a new problem with every update. Can’t believe Activision hasn’t got rid of them yet, just a bunch of clowns getting off to their crappy ā€œvisionā€.

Ditto to everything said here!..come on you techys! These huge updates are killing my joy for the game. Bad enough on my 50mb connection but add in the stop/start farce and I couldn’t even let it run overnight. You’re happy to take our money for all the add on’s and stuff but this is really poor customer service, remember us? we’re the customers!

172GiG update here aswell, but it doesn’t even start the download and I get this message ā€˜ā€˜We’re having a problem transferring data. Please check your internet connection just in case and try again.’’

I have searched around the internet for solutions and there is not a SINGLE fix out there.
And it doesn’t seem that ANYONE with this problem has got any response from the tech guys either.

Even if I have to download 172Gigs, I’d do it because I have 500/100 internet and alot of free space on my M2 drive, but as I mentioned above, I cant even start the download.

This is starting to really get on my nerves. I buy the full version of modern warfare. Then every 12 year old on the planet picks it up because of the free warzone mode.

I have been trying to install this stupid update for 2 days. keeps stating and failing. 180gb? I gotta install the whole game again?

I done it once already. Took 4 days to install. (FYI my net is the great, 50mbs )
I played it for one day. The you geniuses update it again. And I need to clean install again? Why?

I gave it a few days before I tried again. But you clearly are not doing anything to solve this.

Im so close to asking for my money back. I wont get it. But I don’t want this game anymore.

The silence is deafening.

Same problem here too. Suddenly a game update is 121GB in size! FFS. And it seems I can’t roll it back. Waste of time and bandwidth. Monumental technical cock up. And no announcement, acknowledgement or apology on this forum either.
