I know there is D2R forums, but I couldn’t sign in there, seems auth not working on the forum.
To the point:
Char lvl 66, bought HOLY FREEZE merc from nightmare, switched to hell, played around half an hour with working HOLY FREEZE, exited, created new game in hell diff, tried to play but he seems wont activate his aura at all.
I know aura is like an active skill on merc, and hes has to get some damage before he AI decides to use it, but he’s not activating it at all, played like an hour and nothing.
I put a INSIGHT on him right after I bought him if it matters and meditation aura working correctly.

There are a few post about the merc changing skills… ie, bought as defiance on Normal, skill changed to holy freeze on Nightmare… for example, this post:

It seems it starts working just fine after couple of reloads. Hope it’s persistent.

As Boubou mentioned, please make sure that you are posting in the correct forum for the game you are having issues with (this forum is specifically for Classic Games (Diablo II, Starcraft, etc). You can find the Diablo II Resurrected forum here
Just to add, the issue you’ve mentioned is known and appears to just be a display issue. Your mercenary should still have and use their original aura, even though it displays a different aura in their character window.
The Developers are aware and are working on getting the issue corrected.
