D4 - Enemy Ice Crowd Control

Two issues I have with Enemy Ice Crowd Control - Apart from the obvious complete lack of control of the character once it builds up enough.

  1. The little ice “pools” that “spit” out Ice Shards - We should have some way to deal with them.
    I’ve just completed Malnok, where one Ice Khazra spawned 3 of the Ice “Pools”, turning an ARPG in to a Bullet Hell game, with no way to deal with, or mitigate the pools incessant shooting.

  2. The issue is exacerbated further, as the ice pools themselves are white, which are shooting out white projectiles, on a background that is also white.
    I can barely see the pools, let alone the projectiles.
    How you expect players to keep track of white on white on white projectiles, while surrounded by white Khazra who are jumping to CC you, or hitting you with more ice, or just generally being in the way, is beyond me.

If this is to stay in the game, please make crowd control, especially crowd control projectiles, more visible regardless of the tile set they are placed on.
Please allow players to “deal” with such projectile spitting BS, rather than just running in circles to wait it out, because that makes for dull gameplay.

More/Better telegraphing
More ways to manage, or mitigate CC
Less enemy CC spam. We have (nerfed) cooldowns, so should the enemies.

That’s why I linked the Blizzard Support article… :slight_smile:

I would have given you a more direct link but I wasn’t sure which region you played in… your BattleTag shows that your home region is America but these forums here are for Europe region. Anyways… you can select the appropriate region in that article and it will bring you to the right forum.

Another way is to use Google… search for “America Diablo IV forum” or “Europe Diablo IV forum” — the first suggestion provided by Google is usually the right one.

Last but not least, there should be a shortcut for “Visit diablo4.com” on the Diablo IV page of the Battle.Net Launcher… above the Play button; click that and then click “Forums” at the top of the screen when the Diablo 4 page loads.


That’s because the Diablo IV forums are in a separate part of the forums – the part here is only for:

  • Feedback on the Battle.Net Launcher
  • Technical Support on Diablo Immortal and
  • Technical Support on the Classic Games — legacy games such as Diablo II: Lord of Destruction, StarCraft: Broodwar and Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos.
