Diablo 2 - Cannot login to Battle.net

I cannot login my battle.net account from inside the game. Sometimes it says wrong password(Eventhough i can login from browser with same password). Sometimes it gets stuck in login screen, waiting forever.

I can login to Europe… I tried both just now and yesterday when I saw your post.

Yes i did, i changed my password, still cannot login. It still says wrong password, but i can login from browser and battle.net desktop application.

Your Battle.Net password doesn’t have to be the same as your Diablo II Battle.Net account password… mine isn’t.

In the browser and on the Battle.Net Desktop App, you use an e-mail and a password to login.

In the Battle.Net for Diablo II, you use your account name and a password… your account name is not your e-mail – it’s just the name you gave to your account when you created it.

Changing the password on the Battle.Net Desktop App doesn’t affect the password for Diablo II Battle.Net… and vice versa – there isn’t any connection between the 2 Battle.Net

As it says in that Support article, you need to use Account Settings on the D2 Battle.Net menu to change your password:

I used the in game menu you send too. It said we will send instructions to your e-mail to change password, but i didnt get any e-mail.

OK – there can be a few reasons for that:

  • Your Account Name is incorrect
  • Your e-mail is incorrect
  • You didn’t register the e-mail when you created the account

If you can’t make it work, you will need to submit a ticket and ask Blizzard Support to help you.
