Diablo 2 installer not enough disk space, can't change file location

Downloaded diablo 2 installer, but when I ran it I chose the wrong drive to download the installer to and I can’t change the file path, every time I launch the d2 p2p installer it automatically starts the download and no longer gives me the option to change the file destination. This is specifically for the d2 installer download, not the actual game install.

I don’t know if you need it any more because it was like 3 month ago but I’m pretty sure like i found this post when i was searching for answer some others people will do it too and they will find this.

I just ran in the case that I wanted to change the path given to the downloader software and it seems you can’t make it from the software itself…

You must go in the registry to change it (or delete it if you want).

So to go in regedit (just open the windows menu or hit windows key and then type regedit it will appear).

Then go in HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Blizzard Entertainment\Downloader

Here you will find some folders for example mine for Diablo 2 is “84CE44E25D34D9A292D7AAD5D31E54E866C10C9C”.

When you choose one, you can see on the right a line called path and with that value contained in each folder you will find the right one (or the faulty one).

If you double-click on path you can write the new path
or
you can just find the folder with the wrong path and delete that folder. If you do like that the next time you will launch the downloader it will ask you to choose the path like the first time.

I was downloading the game just now to get ready for Project Diablo 2 and put it on the wrong drive that has no space and could not figure out for the life of me how to change its intended drive and could not fix the issue , this post saved me, THANK YOU SO MUCH OH MAN IM HAPPY!!! lol
