Hi,
I recently downloaded Diablo 2 from the blizzard website.
However the installer will not accept the 16 digit cd key that came with my original disks.
I have linked both my D2 and LOD keys to my battle.net account.
I tried re-downloading the client after linking the keys hoping this might then apply the keys to the download however this does not appear to be the case.
How does one get D2 to work with a legacy 16 digit key?

In this case the original 16 digit keys no longer work when installing Diablo II. As you have done the keys need to be attached to a Blizzard account and this will convert them to the new 26 Digit format we use for all our games.
If you head to your Account Management, you should be able to see the keys when you click on Diablo II, and LoD there, these are the new keys you use for the installer.
