I have recently installed diablo 2 from disk, my cd key was fine, no issues, recently bought the expansion on disk but whenever i try to install it, it tells me that i need to install diablo 2 before i can install the expansion set. Diablo 2 is installed, i even downloaded the digital copy from blizzard and installed that but it still wont let me install the expansion set. Tells me that if i have already installes diablo 2 i should contact tech support but theres no way to do that. I downloaded a patch to fix the issue but the patch is older than my copy of diablo 2 and so that couldnt be installed either. Using the disk version i was able to access battlenet classic on diablo 2 but since downloading the digital version its no longer letting me acceas battlenet and all my characters have been lost. There is nothing wrong with the cd key for the expansion because ive added it to my blizzard account. It just wont let me install it. Please help
