i installed diablo 2 from disc so, i have the normal version installed. when i try to run it in direct 3d mode, it shuts down right away. when i try to run it in direc draw mode however it runs perfectly. i have an rtx 2080 ti gpu.
You may need to manually patch the game to make sure you have the latest version of Diablo 2, the patches can be found here on the Support Site.
i do not want to patch the game. i want to play the unpatched version. i want to see how that version is by playing through the game. it works perfectly in direct draw. i just want to find out if i can get it to run in direct 3d.
