I just installed Diablo II, which was on my old Game’s shelve, using the downloaded full game installer from Battlenet & the new longer Product/CD key.
This installed version 1.14b. On Battlenet i also found a Patcher to 1.14d.
Using 1.14b i can’t connect to Battlenet getting disconnected during/after version check.
I then tried the 1.14d installer which crashes after successful patching.
Running Diablo ii.app after the patch fails most times. The Application just crashes during startup, before the diablo 2 screen takes over. Occasionally it starts up fine though.
When it runs, i again can’t login to battlement 
Also when i SP i hire an Helper, this helper only works for a short period & then it freezes & stays dormant or sometimes active but not following me anymore.
When i try connect to battlement i see “…Account” then “Checking Versions” then “Failed”
I run MacOS Mojave 10.14.6.
Can this be fixed ?
