Diablo Prime Evil collection removed from store?

As the title says, it was there 2 days ago, I go to buy it today, poof gone… The Hatred’s Grasp Wings and Mephisto pet are now ONLY available with the “Diablo Collection”, forcing people that want D2R+D3 and the pet/wings to buy D4 as well, which is honestly a totally different game to the prior 2 and something a LOT of us are NOT interested in buying and will NEVER buy. Actually outrageous that D4 is failing so badly that they need to push sales of it to the D2 and D3 playerbase this hard.

EDIT: I went through the pricings based on the current sales and I basically either pay £49.99 to get the pet+wings, D2R and D3 (the fact D4 is included is irrelevant if it’s not wanted). Or £15.99 for Diablo 3 Eternal Collection + £11.55 for D2R equating to £27.54. So Blizzard want to charge us an extra £22.45 for a pet and a set of wings.

Hi,

The Prime Evil collection was replaced with the Diablo Collection… in addition to everything available in the Prime Evil collection, Blizzard is adding Diablo IV, Inarius wings, Murloc Pet and a mount for WoW. It’s available at “a reduced price” until 1-jan-2024.

If you already own part of the collection, you get a reduced price to account for that.

See the comparative table here: https://eu.shop.battle.net/en-us/product/diablo-iv?p=1595082

Which is still more expensive on sale than the Prime Evil collection would be and includes Diablo 4 which idc about, and a lot of people don’t care about. Let’s be realistic here, some of us were waiting for the Christmas sale to pick up the Prime Evil collection, because we’re tight on money and we moved to PC in the past year (not hard to end up tight on money with the current pricings on PC components). Last year, the Prime Evil collection was on sale at Christmas. This year, we wait and instead we have to buy the Diablo Collection for the FULL PRICE of the Prime Evil collection, equating to ZERO SAVINGS in the sale for those of us that don’t care for Diablo 4.

I basically either pay £49.99 to get the pet+wings, D2R and D3 (the fact D4 is included is irrelevant if it’s not wanted). Or £15.99 for Diablo 3 Eternal Collection + £11.55 for D2R equating to £27.54. So Blizzard want to charge us an extra £22.45 for a pet and a set of wings.

I added pricings to my last post in an edit, have a look at that to understand how ridiculous it actually is

Also you’re right, I’m not blaming you or anything. I just don’t want to see anyone defending the practice cause the amount they’re expecting us to pay when they know D4 is hated by a lot of the community is crazy lol.

Just a final thought on this…

I don’t know if you knew but D3 is entering “maintenance mode” soon… once Season 29 ends, I suppose. You would essentially be buying a game where there won’t be any new developments and/or offers.

I’ve been playing D3 for 11 years or so now… it’s been quite a ride. The game as it exists now is quite different than what was originally offered in 2012. But, according to the various announcements made by Blizzard, it’s the end of the road for D3 as far as game development goes. They’ll rotate seasons and season themes… they might spend some effort in “class balancing” but that’s about it. There was a short writeup about the future of D3 here: https://eu.diablo3.blizzard.com/en-gb/blog/23999068/season-29-visions-of-enmity-now-live-9-8-2023 under “What the Future Holds: A Message from the Diablo III Team”. I suspect we’ll learn more when the blog for Season 30 comes out… soon™

I’m not fussed, I’ve also played D3 for years, but on console. As I say I moved to PC this year (well, moved to a GOOD PC this year lol), they just better not shut down the servers, cause then I would be mad. The whole reason I wanted to move to PC D3 after I finally got a good PC was because it’s forced online with no offline mode and that means no disgustingly atrocious amount of cheaters with modded gear like on console. Modders actually completely ruin this game on console, it is 100% unplayable in a public lobby

I haven’t seen any talks about closing down the D3 servers… the servers for Classic Diablo II and Diablo II: Lord of Destruction are still up some 23 years after initial game release… so I wouldn’t be worried about that.

Have a good night.

That’s good to know at least, hopefully they continue to follow that trend lol.

Thanks, and you, take care.

Any new update on this? Will Blizzard bring back the Diablo Prime Evil collection?
Any plans yet?

In fact with the new D4 DLC coming out, the Diablo Collection is also gone from the Store.
Did we lose the chances of getting the wings & pet permanently?
