Echoing reprimand interaction with deathstalkers mark

Echoing reprimand does not interact with deathstalkers mark correctly. When consuming the anima infused combo point my finishing move acts as if 7 combo points are used. By this standard surely if im trying to proc “darkest night” i should be able to do so by casting envenom whilst consuming an anima infused combo point (as this acts as 7 being used)?

Am I Being silly or is this interaction just not in the game but should be?

Am I being silly or has this topic been misplaced because this forum is exclusively dedicated to collecting feedback on the Battle.net launcher app and not for questions about WoW?
