Hello,
I’m experiencing a persistent graphical bug related to the quest “The Truth Shall Set Us Free.”
I got to this quest while following the chain quest about Arthas’ story with my Horde character. After picking it up, the screen corners became darkened, as if I were stuck inside a dream or story/vision phase. Unfortunately, I never actually completed the quest because I played very little during that period.
Later, I abandoned the quest, but the graphical effect never went away. My screen corners are still shadowed/blurred as if the effect from the quest is permanently active.
What I have already tried:
Abandoned the quest long ago.
Reset UI (renamed Interface / Cache / WTF folders).
Removed all addons.
Installed the game on a completely clean computer (WoW had never been installed there).
Tried doing Horrific Visions in Dornogal to overwrite the effect.
Deleted unrelated quests, hoping to reset the state.
The bug persists only on the character that had accepted that quest, even on a fresh installation.
Game Masters responded to my tickets and suggested the UI reset steps above, but none of them fixed the issue.
Has anyone experienced this bug before, or is there any way to “reset” my character’s phase/visual state linked to that quest?
