Hello everyone,
I’d like to propose an idea for a Hardcore 2.0 mode that could add an exciting new layer of strategy and teamwork to World of Warcraft. In this version, instead of death being immediately permanent, there would be a xx-second timer before a character dies permanently.
During this window, other players can use instant resurrection abilities to bring the fallen character back to life. If the fallen character is out of combat, traditional resurrection abilities can also be used.
This system would encourage players to work together more closely, knowing that having a teammate who can revive them could mean the difference between life and permanent death. It would also add more value to classes with resurrection abilities, making them even more vital in Hardcore mode.
Additionally, this mechanic would make abilities like the Shaman’s reincarnation and the Warlock’s Soulstone even more strategic, giving players a second chance if they use these abilities wisely within the xx-second window. (Except for Mak’gora)
I believe this addition would make Hardcore mode more engaging and dynamic, encouraging players to think more strategically and fostering a stronger sense of camaraderie among teammates.
What do you all think? I’d love to hear your thoughts and feedback on this idea.
