The “Whats new?” pop up is really annoying to have to close every time I start both battle.net and Call of Duty. It’s no different than a newsletter pop up or a full page pop up on a web site, or Amazon nagging you at check out every time to enroll in Prime. While it only takes a few moments to close two pop ups before we can play our favorite games, the bigger issue is that this is really an anti consumer design to force feed news and ads into the player’s face. I really regret buying games on Battle.net when steam lets me disable these types of pop ups.
