If I buy shadowlands, do I get all previous expansions?

Hi,

Havent played since cataclysm, but if I buy shadowlands, does this mean I get access to all previous expansions?

Kind regards

Bart

Hey Vanlierde!

The current base version of the game provides access to all of the games expansions up until Battle for Azeroth! This means if you just add game time to your account, you will be able to play up until level 50 and through all of the content from the previous expansions, even if you never purchased them in the past. You do not need to purchase Shadowlands to access this, just game time.

If you do decide that you would like to play the Shadowlands content once it releases, then you would need to purchase Shadowlands to do so.

But why up until lvl 50? I used to have a priest since i last played, WoTLK, and the priest was 80lvl. Does this means that I cannot use him if I just add game time to my account? Plus another question, the game time is still reduces daily since the purchase or by spending time while playing and when I’m off will stop?
Thank you

Hello Egkefalos,

With the release of the Shadowlands pre-patch, a level squish was introduced to the game which reduced the existing level cap from 120 to 50. The levels of each character is then scaled down to fit within the new level range. As an example, your level 80 Priest would not be level 30, with all existing progression and relative power kept intact. You can read more about this change and how it works here.

As for game time, it is still based on real time and not play time. If you add 30 days to your account, then it will be active for those 30 days, not 720 hours of active play time.
