MacBook Pro 2019 Problem

Game Freezes and Screen Flickers on MacBook Pro 2019

Hi everyone,

I’ve been having a recurring issue while playing World of Warcraft on my MacBook Pro (2019 model). After just a few minutes in the game, the screen starts flickering, and the game freezes completely, making it unplayable.

Here are my Mac’s specifications:

Model: MacBook Pro (2019)
Processor: 2.8 GHz quad-core Intel Core i7
RAM: 16 GB
GPU: Intel Iris Plus Graphics 655
OS: macOS 15.1.1
What I’ve tried so far:

Reinstalled the game.
Used the “Scan and Repair” tool.
Reset the SMC and NVRAM.
Adjusted graphics settings (lowered everything to the minimum).
Monitored temperatures with Macs Fan Control (no overheating detected).
Updated macOS to the latest version.
Tested with manual fan control to prevent overheating.
Deleted cache and configuration files.
Followed every suggestion provided by Blizzard Support so far.
Despite all of this, the issue persists. The game freezes and becomes unresponsive within minutes, with screen flickering making it impossible to play.

I’m reaching out to see if anyone else has encountered this on a Mac and has found a solution. Any advice or additional troubleshooting tips would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance!
