Hello. I’ve already been frustrated before by this when Classis released and now that WOTLK Classic prepatch is out I and many of my friends, as well as a large portion of the WoW player base, are experiencing the same issue. Why is it not possible to launch an instance of the Classic client that sits in queue as well as a retail version that is playable at the same time? I believe a similar post had already been made a while ago but there was no official response and the replies provided by players didn’t make too much sense to be honest.
If it is a technical issue, simply fix it. If it is a financial one, simply be frank to your players and let us pay more to play both on the same account if you really are that greedy.
To be exact, I am not asking if playing both Classic and Retail at the same time would be possible, although I honestly can’t think of a reason it shouldn’t be. I am simply asking for us to be able to play Retail while we wait in a 12500 queue. The queue should not even exist to begin with, but that is not something this Topic is going to be about.
You’ve given returning players Shadowlands for free, but it makes zero difference as all of them have resubbed to play WOTLK on fresh servers and are now stuck in queue unable to play ANY version of the game.
This would incentivize Classic players to buy the Retail version of the game.
It would also increase the severely decimated Retail population.
It would get returning players a reason to try and get accustomed to the newer version of the game and that interest could hopefully persist into DF encouraging them to buy the expansion.
Not to mention that I am able to run literally any other game or service while in queue except the game I have paid for that is separate from Classic. So I am more than welcome to spend my time and money elsewhere instead where I still somehow feel like I belong.
I honestly doubt anything will be done about this problem, but I felt like I needed to voice what was on my mind as it is something everyone in my guild is struggling with since we play both versions of the game. Oh, excuse me, we are playing NO version of the game, but are paying for both.
