Subject: Mists of Pandaria Classic Account Ban - Likely False Positive from TSM Macro
Hello Blizzard Community Team,
I am hoping you can assist me with a permanent account suspension that I believe was applied in error. I am unable to appeal further via the ticket system as it restricts me from submitting new tickets on the matter.
Account: Nightrage #21190 > Original Tickets ID: EU100969509, EU100958138
My account was closed for “use of unauthorized third-party programs.” I can state categorically that no such software was ever used.
After my initial appeal was denied, I realized the likely cause: I am an extremely active Auction House player and use the permitted TradeSkillMaster (TSM) add-on. As per its official documentation, I use the /click TSMAuctioningBtn macro bound to my mouse wheel to post auctions quickly.
I believe my high AH activity led to mass false reports from other players. When these reports were reviewed, the rapid, consistent input from my mouse wheel was mistaken in the logs for an automated program (“auto-clicker”), leading to a false positive.
I understand the need to act on reports, but this was a permitted use of in-game macros and add-ons. I am willing to change how I use this macro to avoid any future confusion.
I would be eternally grateful if a senior GM or specialist could perform one final manual review of the input logs for my account to confirm the activity was generated by hardware mouse wheel input and not software automation.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
