MMWII - DMZ Ideas and devlopment

i have watched a lot and heard a lot about the shortcomings in the DMZ, especially the 6 man elements i have some ideas on this and as westie said himself we are always looking for positive feedback to take to devs in the question times, maybe some of these will inspire those suggestions.

these Ideas are for DMZ only :slightly_smiling_face:

So my two option for dealing with 6 man teams short of creating your own and going on killing spree’s are as follows:

  1. during the normal game time all assimilation is banned, if you are downed you can still plea but it will not be seen, you will stay in game if you choose to stay and you plea will only be active once the timer hits 0 and the gas timer starts you plea will then show on map, this will enable any near by to pick you up, however this could mean that no one comes for its a risk you take, its also a risk for the players to be in the gas to res you just to make a 6 man, ofc there will be mission to incentivise players to do it from time to time such as a mission to assimilate 5 players etc. This will stop 6 man teams.

  2. Life Tokens - this system is a new cache that will be found in location around all maps and will be in a special black box, they could be in strongholds, black sites and other high tier loot spots, the system will be set so that you can only hold one token and can use only one token per round these tokens cannot be extracted they will drop out when you extract, so if you want a 6 man team then you and you two squad mates have to find a token each and use them, this means that you will have to go out and find them, chances are you will get killed as other team look for them as well. PVP will be a much bigger part now.

I also have an idea for the vests as currently they are massively unutilised. This only applies to the three plate variants.

New items will be available a barter stations, these item cannot be extracted so will drop off the vest at the end of each round or when you extract.

Tempered vest - Infill with this vest and go to a barter station there you will have access to a new bater item “plate pouch” this will equip directly to the vest and will allow you to hold up to 50 plates, the plate vest itself will store 20, this will make it a true walking tank vest just like a jugg hit damage will be the same so head shots take out three plates but you can replenish lost plates up to 20 with a single push of the plate button, run out of plates in a fight then that the breaks. This item costs 50K cash.

Medic vest - Infill with this vest and go to a barter station there you will have access to the new item “Defibrillator” this item attaches directly to the vest it allows you to insta rez a downed or dead squad mate infinite uses, it will also allow you to use infinite revive pistol if you have one equipped in special slot and as a personal bonus will allow the wearer a free rez even if downed to get you back in the fight, that is a one time use, kind of a hail-mary in case you are downed before you could fight back, ofc you will have to equip plates to survive if being camped, get ready to run. 50K cash to but this item

Stealth Vest - infill with this vest and go to a barter station and you will have access to a the new item “Phantom” this item attaches directly to the vest, it allows the wear to be invisible at all times to all standard and advance UAVs and other detection devices, you will also have an option to set off dead silence, this is an infinite use special that will last for 1 min with a 2 min cool down, it will also enhance your sniper capabilities by adding a mark service to all targets in your sights, i am thinking as part of stealth and the potential for night time it can have night vision in built but TBA. 100K cash to buy this item

Comms vest - infill with this vest and go to a bater station there you will have access to the new item “satellite” this item is comms link to your vest, it allows the standard warning of squads but will have a satellite UAV, this special UAV will allow you to spot any player and is the only item that allows you to see a stealth vest wearer, it will also give you a range finder to so you know how close the players are it also gives access to thermal vision and allow you to spot players so you can call out cords and distances to your supporting squad mates. 100K cash o buy this item.

Gun bag - this item can be found and extracted allows you to store three weapons with three secure item slots. so you can extract a secure bag and other items if needed for next rounds.

Extra

Engineer vest - three plate allows the wearer to fix vehicles and refuel on the go but at normal speeds like in garages, special barter item would be “Toolbox” allows instant fix and refuelling, allows them to DDOS enemy vehicles and or ordinance such as missiles to protect the vehicle they are in like an emp pulse with in a certain range, better have that comms guy to tell when :slight_smile:
