My Battle.net Authenticator app will be retired 5 january 2024

I received a email saying my legacy authenticator will be removed if i don’t migrate to a mobile app authenticator, i feel i’am being told that i need to buy a new mobile phone and install battle.net authenticator?. And it seems that you blizzard/activision are going to put my account at risk on being hacked by hackers by removing my authenticator. Also my mobile is too old to install the app and i have always used a winauth on my pc and never a mobile?, just like a saying before but a new one. Don’t you have new mobile phones?. Me no, but i would’nt use a authenticator on my mobile cos i got it on my pc??.. Thank you blizzandact

Please see the pinned post for more details:-

I have no idea how old your phone is but the app should run on:-

The Battle.net Mobile App requires at least Android® 5.0 or iOS® 9.0.

As i said the mobile is too old and i don’t need to tell you what phone it is and also i said i’ve always used a authenticator on my pc (winauth) and i’ve used it for many years 6+ i think and i also use a steamauthenticator on pc too?. It seems to me is just go get a new mobile and install the app but i got more important things to do like getting christmas going etc. Steam app would’nt do this to their customers over a legacy authenticator and if it works then whats the problem?..

Same. My phone has OS based on Java and i don’t use smartphones.

I like how you pointed that out ava001 and no one needs to be forced to use a smartphone by aka blizzard and activision and just saying oh i will be removing your security legacy authenticator during Christmas? like common. I have removed the authenticator myself and will use the email or mobile code sent but there is no code sent?, it just logs in. Also blizz&act have sent me another email saying my account is still setup to use a legacy authenticator and blah blah 5 January it will be removed.? I looks like you gotta catch up because there is no authenticator…
