When I bought this game, I was still living in Europe, with a great internet connection at my disposal. How annoying the big - and most of all - frequent updates were, they were never a big problem at the time. About 6 months ago I moved to S/E Asia and my internet now is what I can describe as pre-historic compared to what I was used to. I now value what I had, and I now feel more conscious about what I require from a game.
A little spoiler; surely it isn’t updates. Especially MW Updates take ages to complete, and I simply lack the time and will to initiate them. That updates are required to be able to play multiplayer is one thing. Playing multiplayer is also a thing that is a no-no. I can live with that, since I still enjoy the single player mode. But the weird - and mostly stupid! - thing is that this requires an active internet connection. Which basically triggers an update every time I want to play. Please enable people to play single player mode offline and provide opt-in/out for updates. It is beyond annoying to go through massive amounts of GB’s before I’m even able to launch the game. Seriously, what idiot came up with the idea to push these massive and frequent updates. Surely tweaking gameplay doesn’t require these monsters!
In the future include a WARNING notice on your products for others. Warn them for massive and frequent updates that take ages to complete. Warn them that it will spoil their gaming experiences, and that you basically don’t care a single f*** about it. Warn them so they can keep their hard (or not so hard) earned money in their pockets.
If that is not possible for some BS-reason -which I totally expect from your end- please stick the money that you earned from me somewhere where the sun doesn’t shine. I don’t mind that you don’t care, I’m okay with that. I’m feeling comfortable with the knowledge that I will not buy any product from you guys ever again.
