I found it in another post.
Download nvidia hotfix : GeForce Hotfix Driver Version 445.98.
“…Fixed an issue where the shader cache was sometimes incorrectly purged on app launch”
I am playing for an hour with no crash yet.

PS…let the shaders to install fully before restart the game when you promted!

No fix for me unfortunately. Still a CTD on the “checking for update” screen.
Try this;
Go to ur COD MW location file -> right mouse click on the game and click Properties
Go to compatibility -> Run this program in
compatibility modes for Windows 8 -> Start the game from the launcher, you will crash. Go back to compatibility modes and turn it off again. Launch the game again from the launher and see if it works.
No difference to me. As game loads, it crashes and throws windows
this dosent work for me at all, my battle net starts and the game, but it only says error in game and pop up the text was an error during that request and nothing happens whats going on?!?! can someone pls help
