Dear Blizzard,
I’ve been a fan of your games for many years and have countless great memories tied to them. That’s why it’s so disappointing to see how things have been handled in recent years.
It feels like creativity and innovation — the very qualities that once made Blizzard special — have been replaced by corporate caution and legal battles. Instead of inspiring the community, you seem more focused on shutting down fan-driven projects like Nostalrius or Turtle WoW, projects born out of passion for what you created in the first place.
Many of us still believe Blizzard can be that creative powerhouse again — but it requires courage to take risks and build something genuinely new, not just to protect old ideas. Maybe it’s time to listen to the community that’s kept your worlds alive for decades.
Microsoft’s acquisition could be an opportunity for a fresh start. Please, use it. Surprise us again. Remind the gaming world why Blizzard once stood for imagination, quality, and heart.
