Restriction on conversion of Wow tokens to battle.net balance (clause 5)

I am unable to convert wow tokens to battle.net balance because I do not qualify the last restriction vis a vis “The country your Battle.net account is registered to must match the region your World of Warcraft account is in”. I wish this to be removed or changed as is possible as a result of this post. Devs/management please do take note.
I began my WOW journey in the EU (NL) and due to a relocation to India, I have become one with a different region and country of registration. The response from support team says that India falls under “Taiwan” region and when i created a new account in that region, I noted that everything is in Chinese (a language i do not follow) and hence I fell completely lost playing there. Also, playing there would mean I lose all the progress I made playing in the EU region. Needless to say, I do not find it pleasing to shift to a different region.
Coming to the 4 regions available in wow vis-a-vis Americas, EU, Taiwan and Korea, the following are the issues with other regions playing from India -
Americas - Language is almost the same. However, It is the other side of the world from here and I end up missing out any good group activity as a result of difference in time zones.
Taiwan - Everything is in Chinese and unfamiliar.
Korea - Non-residents cant play here
EU - I have all my progress here and it feels home to me. The time difference is 3.5 hours (4.5 DST) which is very much manageable. It makes most sense for me to continue my journey in the EU region hence.
From one of my previous conversations with possibly a GM, I remember being told that this clause had been added because Blizz did not want to get involved in any currency exchange activity. If that is indeed the issue, I would like to point that there is no issue in me playing the game paying in Euros (as I am currently doing). I have been playing by paying in euros for more than a decade irrespective of my registered region. I do believe there is no option to refund battle.net balance back to the user’s account. That being the case I fail to see why/how the currency hinders Blizz operation.
Through my conversations with different people in the game over the years, I note that there is a considerable population who play from outside EU in EU servers. I am sure many people will be joyous if this said restriction is removed as they wouldn’t have to look for means of payment every time a transaction has to be made as they can use their hard earned gold for such purposes.
If the reason for adding such a clause is different and pertinent, please do enlighten me about it. Anyone related to the game out there please do peruse through my request/rant and if possible provide the feasibility to be able to choose the currency for our battle.net accounts (irrespective of region of registration). You can always add a warning/conditional agreement for changing the currency. Hope to see a good change soon!

P.S: In my current situation it feels blizz considers all Asians as Taiwanese. Asia is not Taiwan and Taiwan is not Asia. I am sure you would understand if I felt this as a sort of discrimination to people not living in the country in which the servers are maintained. Please make it uniform to all players!

You’ve already been given the reason:

Certain countries or regions are locked specifically with products matching their purchase power.

To prevent players from switching to the lowest and then buy a “cheaper” product you cannot switch to a different region/country that doesn’t match your current residing one.

They will have to continue to respect the destination game region’s currency if they wish to play and pay on there. I may add, if a cheaper currency were to buy up wow tokens and sell for gold it would cause a currency dump.

There are many other legalese reasons which Blizzard will not discuss with players and this request has been posted over the years.
